Appearance
Narrow pointed leaves set around the stem, mid green. A single stem looks sparse; a dense group is what the plant is grown for.
Keeping
It wants good light and steady conditions — sharp changes in water make it melt, as with most pogostemons. Carbon dioxide is not required but improves the growth. Cut anywhere along the stem and two new shoots appear at the cut, so trimming is what builds the bush.

The back of the tank, in a group of several stems.
Propagation
By cuttings taken anywhere along the stem; the trimmings root in the substrate.
