Goldfish and Common Guppy: can they live together?

Verdict:with caution

  • Behaviour: with caution
  • Water: ranges overlap

Why

The shared temperature of 18–22 °C is the lower part of the guppy's range. A goldfish grows up to 30 cm and is conditionally peaceful: it is dangerous for noticeably smaller fish, and a guppy is 3–6 cm.

This is a general estimate: fish of the same species differ in character. Tank volume is given for each species separately — two species together need at least the larger of the two, and usually more.
