Siamese Fighting Fish and Goldfish: can they live together?

Verdict:not recommended

  • Behaviour: not recommended
  • Water: the shared range is very narrow

Why

The water hardly matches: Siamese fighting fish need 22–28 °C, goldfish 18–22 °C, and the only shared point is 22 °C. A goldfish grows up to 30 cm and needs a tank of at least 300 l, while a Siamese fighting fish is, as a rule, kept alone.

This is a general estimate: fish of the same species differ in character. Tank volume is given for each species separately — two species together need at least the larger of the two, and usually more.
