Siamese Fighting Fish and Bronze Corydoras: can they live together?

Verdict:with caution

  • Behaviour: with caution
  • Water: ranges overlap

Why

The corydoras stays near the bottom and the Siamese fighting fish near the surface, and the corydoras does not look like a rival: it is plain, with no long fins. But whether the Siamese fighting fish tolerates tankmates depends on the individual. Corydoras need a group of 5–6 fish or more.

This is a general estimate: fish of the same species differ in character. Tank volume is given for each species separately — two species together need at least the larger of the two, and usually more.
