Appearance
Height 5–30 cm, plant width 5–10 cm — noticeably lower than most cultivars of the species. The colour is a deep brownish red, as in 'Rosaefolia', and noticeably darker than in the small-leaved 'Kleines Papageienblatt'. It branches well and can be trimmed into a dense clump.
Keeping
Light medium to strong, CO₂ 10–40 mg/l, temperature 17–25 °C, growth medium.
Placement
A red accent for the foreground and midground, suited to a nano aquarium and to a Dutch-style street. Propagated by cuttings, by division, and by separating daughter plants.
Trade names
It appeared in Europe around 2007, first under the name 'rosaefolia minor'; the name 'Mini' became established in the trade.
