Appearance

Above water it develops only female flowers, while 'Green' develops male ones. In good light the underwater leaves are light orange-brown and a little larger than in 'Green'; the stems are wider. It is noticeably prone to growing out of the water, and its emergent shoots are larger than those of var. santacatarinense.
