Appearance
Underwater the colour is more orange than the pink-red of the similar 'Colorata', and the leaves are a little narrower. It leans even more towards a creeping, trailing habit than 'Colorata' — 'Green' behaves the same way, differing by its plain light-green colour. Height 20–80 cm, plant width 2–5 cm.
Keeping
It asks for a little more than the ordinary Rotala rotundifolia, but otherwise is kept the same way: light medium to bright, CO₂ 20–40 mg/l, temperature 22–28 °C.
Trade names
It was introduced under the name Rotala sp. 'H'Ra' — after the locality of Hra in Gia Lai province in Vietnam; by the province's name the same cultivar is also called Rotala sp. 'Gia Lai'.
